One of the most exclusive and sought after denims in our collection! Considered the standard weight in the jeans industry, the full standard 14 oz. gives this fabric a gentle ‘slubby’ character, ensuring a great fade after wearing. To make the story more special, this 'made in Japan' fabric is woven on vintage shuttle looms that were bought in 1955/56 and which are no longer produced.
The yarn is dyed with pure indigo leaves in the original style, the way fabric was originally dyed centuries ago. Kuroki denim is also not blended with sulphur, a modern process which makes the material darker with less dips, but rather dyed in 100% indigo. These are the jeans for the ideal fade over time. Woven by the world's acknowledged experts in selvedged jeans: the Japanese – specifically, the rope-dying indigo experts at the Kuroki mill.
This heavy raw selvedge denim by Kuroki is a must-have for more traditIonal jeans geeks. Durable and timeless. You can break in this jeans yourself over time, creating your own distinctive patters of wear and fade.
