A one-of-a-kind cashmere and silk jacket
A visit to the
Pitti Uomo fashion fair in Florence always is a valid opportunity to treat ourselves to our favorite pick from our own collection.
A generous tartan check was chosen from the
exclusive Cashmere Cloud collection by Loro Piana. A fabric in an unprecedented luxurious blend of 95% cashmere and 5% silk. Moreover, Loro Piana assured us that this fabric worldwide was only available in a small quantity and thus would result in a unique bespoke jacket.
A tartan check is an exuberant design and therefore a modest navy blue, white and grey color combination was preferred. The bespoke jacket of course unlined with ultrasoft shoulders. All ready to hit the Pitti.
Until we bumped into the flamboyant Russian Sergey Petrakov on the stand of our friends of
Codis Maya, the London-based atelier that makes the exclusive cufflinks of Possen Made-to-Fit Fashion. An exciting meeting with this owner of the
high-end fashion store Lago D’Oro and a publishing company in Moscow. And of course with a fine nose for special and unique fabrics ;-). Let’s say there was an instant bond.
