Rug out of 18 Merino Sheep

Earlier on in this Lifestyle News of Possen Fashion we lectured a little bit about the fine animals that bring us the best wool in the world: Merino Sheep (also see the item below in this list).
But did you ever seen a rug handknitted from the wool of 18 Merino sheep?
We neither.
But we love these fine fine animals, because every season they bring us a wonderful collection of high-quality fabrics from our top weavers.
And a handknitted rug from the wool of 18 Merino sheep ... show it!
A Merino expert pointed out the website www.theseflocks.com to us. And what a wonderful small website this is!
Amongst others it tells about the summer of 2005 when in a small village in Wales, a small flock of Merino sheep was shawn. Each garment in the collection called FLOCKS (first collection of Christien Meindertsma) was produced from the wool of just one of these sheep, continuing until the wool was finished.
And it also shows this wonderful enormous unique rug.
Check out www.theseflocks.com and learn how to shear a Merino sheep, how to spin its wool and how to knit.
